Another perfect job completed in record time! Pacific Heights customer Mr. D. loves his new balcony railings. We designed them as an exact replica of the original wooden ones that had fallen to pieces after years of weather. Shiny black powder-coat makes these babies virtually weather proof.

Architectural metal work is site specific. Stairways, railings, mantelpieces, awnings and gates all have to be carefully dimensioned for shop fabrication unlike the structural framing elements which are erected and welded on site.
The steel trellises and railings on this new six unit condominium in San Francisco designed by Selander Architects give the building its Italian character. In order to to look substantial on this large building the architect required a large profile material, so a special thin wall tubing was used to minimize weight. After being fabricated and painted in the shop a crane was used to drop them into place over the finished stucco exterior.
